About
Method Matter has home bases in Vilnius, represented by Giorgi Nishnianidze and in Tbilisi, represented by Elia Katamadze. The practice was founded in 2025 and is grounded in the ideas of Conscious Architecture, Land-Informed Planning, and Context-Driven Design. While "Method" reflects our approach, "Matter" represents our curiosity for testing innovative materials and mediums of construction.

Conscious Architecture is a holistic design approach that integrates sustainability, social responsibility, and a deep respect for the environment and human well-being into the design and construction process which primarily revolves around the vast amount of typology and scale.

Land-Informed Planning is a critical study of the land and environment, serving as the basis for original and practical building solutions, as illustrated by our work on the Portokhlebi Resort Masterplan.

Context-Driven Design involves a deep reading of a site's particularities—its social fabric, historical layers, and urban or rural grain. This process ensures that the resulting architecture is not an imposition, but an integrated response that adds to the narrative of the place rather than erasing it.
